One Show Interactive

 

One Show Interactive features a unique quarterly entry system. Entries do not need to have "aired" or gone live during the quarter they are entered. Each year the eligibility period spans all four quarters. This year's deadlines are:
To be eligible to enter the 2013 One Show Interactive work needs to have aired or gone live between January 1, 2012 and February 3, 2013.

Please Note: You may only enter the same piece into a max of three different categories per show.


1. WEBSITES & MICROSITES - SINGLE $400
  1. Branded Games - Games based around a brand's identity and image.

  2. Consumer Goods - Goods with a life span of less than 3 years. Includes household products, personal electronics, clothing, footwear, food, etc.

  3. Corporate Website - The online home of a corporation, brand, or project.

  4. Durable Goods - Goods with a life span of 3 or more years. Includes cars, furnishings, appliances, business equipment etc.

  5. E-Commerce - A site whose main purpose is to process monetary transactions.

  6. Public Service/Non-Profit - Sites produced on behalf of a cause for a non-profit organization or NGO, regardless of whether the producers of the work were compensated monetarily. This category includes educational advertising.

  7. Self Promotion - A site created by agencies or individuals to promote themselves.

  8. Services - Includes non-tangible products such as news, advice, opinion, reviews, consulting, etc.

  9. Social Networks/Community - A site created to bring together a community of people electronically.


2. MOBILE APPLICATIONS/SITES - SINGLE $400
  1. Augmented Reality - The merging of a real world environment with computer generated imagery.

  2. Branded Games - Games based on a brand's identity and image.

  3. Consumer Goods - Goods with a life span of less than 3 years. Includes household products, personal electronics, clothing, footwear, food, etc.

  4. Durable Goods - Goods with a life span of 3 or more years. Includes cars, furnishings, appliances, business equipment etc.

  5. Public Service/Non-Profit - An application or mobile site produced on behalf of a cause for a non-profit organization or NGO, regardless of whether the producers of the work were compensated monetarily. This category includes educational advertising.

  6. E-Commerce - An application or mobile site, or area within a site, whose main purpose is to process monetary transactions.

  7. Self Promotion - An application or mobile site created by agencies or individuals to promote themselves.

  8. Services - This includes any non-tangible product including financial news and advice, opinion, reviews, consulting, news etc.

  9. Social Networks/Community - An application or mobile site focused on bringing together a community of people through electronic means.

  10. Promotions - app or campaign providing consumers with coupons, loyalty rewards or other special offers.

  11. Digital Publication Design


3. INTERACTIVE ADVERTISING - SINGLE $400 / Campaign $450

A. Augmented Reality - The merging of a real world environment with computer generated imagery.

B/C. Banners - Fixed Space - Entries must be contained within the banners' fixed border and cannot extend beyond that space.

D/E. Banners - Dynamic - Rollover and click expanding banners, rich media banners, pop-ups, interstitials, audio and video skyscraper etc.

F/G. Environmental/Experiential - The creation of a physical space or experience that brings the consumer into direct contact with a brand, product or idea. This includes installations, events and competitions.

H/I. Other Interactive Media - Work that does not fit into other categories and often incorporates innovative use of technology or new methods of interaction.

J. Public Service/Non-Profit - Work produced on behalf of a cause for a non-profit organization or NGO, regardless of whether the producers of the work were compensated monetarily. This category includes educational advertising.

K. Self Promotion - Work created by agencies or individuals to promote themselves.



4. ONLINE FILMS AND VIDEO - SINGLE $400 / CAMPAIGN $450

A. Events and Live Webcast - Live events and/or webcasts of same.

B/C. Short Form - A narrative or informational piece three minutes long or less.

D/E. Long Form - A narrative or informational piece 4 minutes long or more.

F. Public Service/Non-Profit - Events, videos or branded content dedicated to the public good whether for a charity, non-profit or NGO.

G. Self Promotion - Video created by agencies or individuals to promote themselves.

H. Video Remixes/Mashups - Work derived from combining and modifying existing digital text, graphics, audio, video, or animation.

I. Music Videos - A branded video where music plays an essential role.



5. INTEGRATED BRANDING - Campaign $800
  1. 360° Campaign - Campaigns containing 3-10 pieces spanning across a combination of online and traditional medias.

  2. Online Campaign - Campaigns containing 3-10 pieces spanning across different online media.


6. CRAFT - SINGLE $400
  1. Photography - the use of still imagery in an interactive environment.

  2. Typography - The design and arrangement of typefaces, point size, line length and spacing between characters. Also, creative use of type in an interactive or technological setting.

  3. Animation/Motion Graphics

  4. Sound Design


7. SOCIAL MEDIA $400
  1. Communities/Microblogging - online social network, blog, or collection organized around a central common interest.

  2. Location Aware Services - Best use of services such as Gowalla, Places, FourSquare, etc.

  3. Best Use of Social Media / Facebook


8. BRAND TRANSFORMATION - Sponsored by Facebook $400
  1. This category recognizes work done by an agency that has the potential to change its client’s business. This could include a product or service (software, hardware or content) that changes the way consumers engage with the brand.


9. USER EXPERIENCE DESIGN - SINGLE $400
  1. Visual Design - website, mobile app, or other interactive interface exhibiting an exceptional aesthetic quality.

  2. Information Architecture - interactive work that displays or organizes information that supports usability in a novel way.

  3. Interaction Design - a piece of work that pays special attention the user interface including new methods of interaction in a digital environment, atypical solutions to common interface paradigms, and the use of interactivity in nontraditional situations.

  4. Usability - work with exceptional ease of use and special focus on the needs of the user.
